We are delighted to announce Alan Mugume as our CEO for the next 3 years. Alan takes over the role from Martin Ondeko who has served Uganda Cricket Association for 13 years in various roles and most recently as CEO for three years.

Alan will take over UCA at a critical time when we are looking to take the game to every corner of the country while also our national teams are involved in various international competitions that are critical to our global rankings.

Alan is a business development services consultant with a wealth of experience in the areas of microfinance, development finance, capital markets, agriculture and agribusiness. He holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a BA in Economics from the University of Alberta.  Allan will oversee all strategic and business aspects of the Association, taking action to enhance the association’s cash flow, public relations, culture, and performance.

Alan Mugume Short Bio:

Alan Mugume is a business development consultant with expertise in investment advisory, operations management and policy formulation and analysis, having worked in both the public and private sectors, specifically in the areas of microfinance, development finance and capital markets.

Until recently he was the Head, of Business Development at Diaspo Capital, a financial advisory firm, where he provided advisory services in equity investment including but not limited to risk analysis, valuation and portfolio management, as well as assessment of internal controls, reporting mechanisms and corporate governance structures of potential investees.

He has also previously served as an Economist at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) where he developed a strong understanding of the Budget process as he was directly involved in preparing departmental work plans, research papers and performance reports that ultimately fed into the Budget Framework Paper, Ministerial Policy Statement and Background to the Budget.

He holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a BA in Economics from the University of Alberta.
