The results set up an anticipated semifinal between Jinja and Group B runners-up Nyakasura School due this morning at Lugogo Oval.

KAMPALA- Reigning champions Jinja Secondary School progressed to their fourth successive Pepsi Girls’ Schools Cricket Week semifinals yesterday.
The Habibu Mugalula-tutored side advanced unbeaten following respective ten and eight-wicket victories over Kilembe SS and 2012 champions Gayaza High to top Group A with maximum 20 point from four games.

“There is a lot of positive morale in our camp,” a cheerful Jinja SS captain Claire Mukashamba said.
“Real cricket for us begins tomorrow (today).” Jinja are now two matches away from a third successive title.

The results set up an anticipated semifinal between Jinja and Group B runners-up Nyakasura School due this morning at Lugogo Oval.

The winner will face the victor between Kololo SS and Gayaza in the afternoon final at Lugogo. “We beat Nyakasura last year in the pool stages so we are confident,” Mukashamba added.
