As group stage matches wrapped up under Gulu’s grey skies, the stakes hit fever pitch on Match-Day Six. Semifinal spots were sealed, bragging rights earned, and title dreams kept alive. The semifinals take place on Saturday, May 10th in the morning (9.30am) at Gulu High and Layibi College whereas the final follows in the afternoon at Gulu High School Ground at 2pm.

St. Henry’s High School Mukono vs Good Heart SS – @ Layibi Ground
St. Henry’s 76/7 (20 overs) | Good Heart 47 all out (16.5 overs)
✅ St. Henry’s won by 29 runs
St. Henry’s rebounded in style, defending a modest total to secure a convincing win. Agnes Shakira (15) and Maria Monika (9) steadied their innings, aided by 26 extras from Good Heart. Fausta Namubiru (3/6) and Tracy Nansamba (2/7) then stifled the chase with tidy spells to bag critical points.
Light SS vs Mt. Rwenzori SS – @ Layibi Ground 2

✅ Light SS won by 5 wickets
Semifinal-bound Light SS made light work of a 35-run target. Ritah Aliyo’s destructive 4-wicket spell dismantled Mt. Rwenzori before Clare Ajego (16 off 16) calmly led the chase. A nervy finish, but Light just managed to stay top of Group A.
Iganga SS vs St. James SS – @ Gulu High Ground

A clinical display from Iganga SS to end their campaign. Prudence Lamara (4 wickets) and Anna Kawomera (2 wickets) dismantled St. James, before Mariam Akullu and Faith Laruni saw off the target without fuss.
Masaka SS vs Ndejje SS – @ Gulu Primary Ground

Masaka booked their semifinal ticket with a tense win. Skipper Hasifah Naula (24) and Barbra Nanyanzi (18) set a competitive total before Abigail Happy Bulamu (3 wickets) and Penina Natabo (2 wickets) held their nerve against Ndejje’s dangerous middle order led by Esther Ariokot (19).
Gayaza High School vs St. John SS – @ Gulu Prison Ground
St. John SS 111 all out (18 overs) | Gayaza 50 all out (15.1 overs)
✅ St. John SS won by 61 runs
A match-winning all-round show from Shadia Giringish (43* & 3 wickets) powered St. John past a faltering Gayaza. Despite tight bowling from Agatha Akankunda and Tracy Nabwire, Gayaza couldn’t string partnerships. Irene Nademba and Lokwiya Mitchelle added 2 wickets apiece in a commanding win.

Light SS vs Jinja SS – @ Layibi Ground 2
Jinja SS 29 all out (19.3 overs) | Light SS 30/2 (11.3 overs)
✅ Light SS won by 8 wickets
A stunning performance from Light SS, who blew away Jinja to claim top spot in Group A. Sarah Tino (4 wickets) and Joyce Alwoc (3 wickets) shared the damage before Clare Ajego and Alice Oroma calmly finished the job.
Olila High School vs Sacred Heart SS – @ Gulu High Ground

✅ Olila High School won by 9 wickets
Olila High School sent a strong message with a resounding 9-wicket win over Sacred Heart SS. Sacred Heart crumbled for just 31, unable to cope with Olila’s relentless bowling attack. Asumin Akurut (16) and Joan Ilora made light work of the chase, wrapping up the match in only 6 overs. Olila now gear up for a heavyweight semifinal against Masaka SS.
St. John SS Mukono vs St. Henry’s High School – @ Layibi Ground
St. Henry’s 40/9 (15.2 overs) | St. John 44/0 (6.3 overs)
✅ St. John SS won by 10 wickets
St. John SS Mukono ended their group campaign in dominant fashion with a 10-wicket victory. St. Henry’s, despite a valiant 23 from Noeline Kyaterekera Britin, folded for just 40. St. John’s openers Sonia Nampeera (25*) and Judith Nakasagga (7*) calmly completed the chase in 6.3 overs.
Masindi SS vs Gulu High School – @ Gulu Prison Ground
Gulu High 54 all out (16.4 overs) | Masindi 55/6 (16 overs)
✅ Masindi SS won by 4 wickets
A tense low-scoring thriller saw Masindi SS edge past Gulu High in a Northern derby. Gulu’s batters had no answers for Gloria Abicier’s fiery spell of 5/8. Although Racheal Atimango hit back with 3/10 for Gulu, Masindi held their nerve, with Gloria and Peace Ninsima guiding them home with 4 wickets to spare.
Mt. Rwenzori vs Nyakasura – @ Gulu Primary Ground
Nyakasura 50 all out (14.4 overs) | Mt. Rwenzori 51/1 (7.2 overs)
✅ Mt. Rwenzori won by 9 wickets
Mt. Rwenzori roared back to end on winning ways with a crushing 9-wicket win over Nyakasura. Linn Musoki (4/7) and Gorret Biira (3/23) ripped through the Nyakasura batting, bundling them out for 50. In reply, Norah Nyakato’s breezy 29 powered Mt. Rwenzori to victory inside 8 overs.
