Olila High School crowned 2025 National Champions – 4th Title!

Olila High School completed a perfect campaign to clinch their fourth national crown, wrapping up the 2025 edition of the Sky View Girls’ Schools Cricket Week in emphatic style. They defeated Light Secondary School by five wickets in a low-scoring thriller at Gulu High School Ground to finish unbeaten across 9 matches.

After opting to bat first, Light SS had a nightmare outing with the bat. Only captain Misheal Ariago (22* off 47) stood tall, as wickets tumbled around her. Immaculate Nandera delivered a devastating spell, taking 7/7 in 3.4 overs - a tournament-defining performance that earned her Player of the Match honours and the match ball. Light SS folded for just 45 runs in 19.4 overs, with six batters dismissed for ducks.

In reply, Olila suffered a scare of their own, losing key top-order wickets including captain Asumin Akurut and all-rounder Lona Anyait, both falling to the fiery Sarah Tino (3.5-2-7-3) in the first over. But Victoria Pearls international Malisa Ariokot (27* off 33) anchored the chase calmly, guiding Olila to 48/5 in 13.5 overs and sealing a famous triumph.
