In a bid to fight for promotion this season, Wanderers have acquired the services of the aggressive opening batsman Abu Sseguya from Nile Cricket Club.

Wanderers was relegated to Div 2 in 2016 and failed to get gain promotion last season on 1st attempt. They lost the 4 1st games of the season and were in trouble of being relegated to Div 3 till a strong second round run salvaged their season finishing in 4th place.

Despite having a good bowling attack, the team clearly struggled for runs and the signing of Abu is a sign of things to come. The struggles of Nile never affected Abu from scoring freely and he was a signing star in a dreaded season for Nile.

Abu makes his second comeback to Wanderers a team he 1st played for when the returned to the country from Pakistan. His fearless batting style is clearly influenced by the many years he spent in Karachi and if he gets to score runs Wanderers will be able to fight for promotion. His agility in the field will be another plus for Wanderers who struggled in the field last season.

In Wanderers Abu will most likely slot into the top order to anchor the innings with team Captain Denis Musali.
