KICC Vs Ceylon Lions CC
Kyambogo Oval
10:30am

After kicking off the second round of play with three straight losses, both KICC and the Ceylon Lions will be looking to redeem themselves with an encouraging 5 points and a possibility of claiming the bonus as well.

The Lions especially so because they sit second to last at the bottom of the table, just one additional point shy of Premier CC from 10 games. With the Challengers sinking them deeper into relegation woes last week, the Lions will need all the help they can get from the hard hitting Simon Ssesazi and Arnold Otwani to turn it up with the bat.

KICC, although faring better than their Lions counterparts in league still have their work cut out. They sit just above the Lions with a 10-point difference between them, and will be as desperate to put as much distance as they can to keep from the dreaded 'relegation' zone. The dynamic spin trio of Davis, Frank and Afridi will need to gel together to produce a standout performance that can see them get out of their pending predicament in the league.

Former Cranes Skipper Davis Karashani has been the sole stand out performer for KICC sitting top of the bowling statistics and equally contributing just over 200 runs for his team. Despite his bravado, KICC have fallen short of expectations at every turn in the second round of fixtures seeing them slip from third place to sixth on the log.

A win for KICC will see them sail smoothly over Tornado Bee and Strikers CC to put them right next to their close rivals the Challengers. The Ceylon Lions on the other hand will look to motivate them this second round aiming for more wins to keep their hopes alive and quest on to stay put in Division One even as the league inches closer to its end.
