Kutchi Tigers v Strikers

Kyambogo Oval

10:30am

Kutchi Tigers will be looking to finish the season on a high after their eight wicket win last weekend against Tornado Bee ensured that they will be finishing in second place on the table.

Challengers who are holding onto third place have no chance of catching up with them giving Kutchi Tigers their best finish since their promotion on the top flight which also means they better their third place finish of last season.

The participation of national team stars Dinesh Nakrani and Ronak Patel who have heavily starred for them this season, is still in question and the two have been very key in their progress this season.

Strikers who have been impressive all season see themselves in a position that guarantees their stay in the league. A poor start to the second round got them dragged in the relegation mele but a resounding five wicket win over Ceylon Lions meant that they will remain a Div 3 and the team can now play with some freedom.  With a 13 point difference between them and the Ceylon Lions, the Strikers can relax a little with the knowledge they would be safe.

Zephaniah Arinaitwe has been in top form with the U19 and his school side St John's which earned him a recall to the senior side that will be representing Uganda in the Africa t20 Cup and he will somehow to look out for Strikers. Together with all rounders Frank Akankwasa, Rogers Olipa and Derrick Bakunzi Strikers are not a side that Kutchi Tigers will walk over.

Even though the encounter does not mean much in terms of placements the match should be a good one for the fans to watch as both sides having nothing to worry about.
