When two giants meet the ground suffers and this weekend the clash of the two titans face off in Lugogo. Aziz Damani has splashed the cash this season with clear intentions set on winning the title. However, they were ambused by Pioneer last weekend falling to the experienced Pioneer side led by Barbara Mukakunsi. New Captain Gertrude Candiru has alot of work today starting with making sure she can get the best out of her expensively assembled side while also managing the different egos.

Candiru will be facing her former employers Olila High who she helped win the t20 title last year and despite losing her Olila remains one of the best sides in the top flight. The side from Soroti is properly grilled by team coach Ivan Kakande and they will be looking at Damalie Busingye and Rachel Ntono for runs and team captain Joyce Mary Apio will be tasked with breaking partnerships and picking wickets.

Coach Yusuf Nanga will be hoping that his senior players Gertrude Candiru, Saidat Kemigisha and Immaculate Nakisuyi can step up this weekend so that they can kick start their title charge.

In the other game in the ladies league new comers St Johns High Mukono will be playing under the Tornado and will make the trip to Jinja to face hosts JACC. St John's High might be a new name in ladies cricket but not the players. Most of the players like Hope Wanichan and Esther Kayaga have experience having played in the league with various clubs .
