Wanderers v Olila High

10:30 am

Kyambogo oval

Olila High CC will face a fresh Wanderers Cricket Club at the Kyambogo cricket oval. Having lost to Aziz Damani in their previous fixture by two wickets, they are looking forward to mitigating that avoidable loss in a bid to narrow the gap between them and current league heads, Pioneer CC.

They say, ‘a good beginning makes a good ending,’ and the Wanderers will be hoping to kick off their season well.’ All-rounders Christine Kasuswa, Janata Kagoya and Florence Mukyala will be key to help them put up a decent all round performance against their more seasoned counterparts. Whereas Olila High’s Racheal Ntono and Damali Busingye will look to deliver with the bat, together with Janet Mbabazi holding the fort by steadying the middle order.

A win for the youthful Wanderers will be just one step closer to the title but with Olila High fresh from a disappointing loss, their journey will be that much tougher. A win for Olila on the other hand will see them leap to first place, overtaking Pioneer CC who despite having similar points with second placed Damani, overtakes by the net run rate.

Soroti Challengers v Tornado

11:30 am

Jinja oval

The Soroti Challengers are having a good run so far with no challenger yet! Every game has seen them emerge victorious through either putting up decent scores or chasing them in record time, getting better with each passing week. This time they face Tornado that has not had the best of seasons however.

Winning only one of their four matches, the statistics have Tornado in the lower tier of the league, just above Gayaza High CC. Soroti Challengers will be looking to repeat their last round’s win while Tornado will need to garner up the available arsenal needed to stop the title favorites in their tracks – something that other teams are yet to do.  Players to look out for include Eunice Alungat, Amayo Christine and Evelyn Anyipo for the Challengers as well as Doreen Nakachwa and Alice Namuganga for Tornado.
