Soroti Challengers Vs Premier Cricket Club

K.C. Budo Oval

11:30am

Table leaders Soroti Challengers take on Premier cricket club that is seeking to close in on position two on the table. A win for Soroti means they need one more to be crowned champions and they are also looking at going unbeaten for the whole season.

Eunice Alungat and Patricia Munguryek shall carry the mantle of getting the much needed runs with the two in fine form and enjoying the game with every innings. They however have to bat with extra caution this weekend as they will be facing the season’s leading wicket taker Charity Nyokaru.

Maria Mwesige and Florence Nabufu will have to feature heavily with the bat for Premier CC through the tight bowling spells of Evelyn Anyipo and Edith Achimo of Soroti. Soroti Challengers are the favourites for this one and Premier will have to play out of their skins to get something from the fixture.

Ceylon Lions VS Tornado Bee

Ndejje SS Oval

11:30am

When the two sides met in the first round of fixtures, the Bees were mauled by the Lions. This round of fixtures will serve up as platform for the Bees to seek revenge and in effect, sting the Lions.

Hopes of winning certainly gives them an extra bit of drive and inspiration for the Bees. Sherrypal Kutaaka and Jasmine Nabulya will have to turn up the heat for Tornado Bee with the bat if they are to avoid a repeat of the fixture when the two sides met.

Patricia Nandera and Esther Kayaga shall be the ones to watch on the crease for the Lions. Both were heavily involved in their 10 wicket win against Gayaza two weeks ago. While This fixer shall be decided in the batting, the bowling prowess of both sides shall be instrumental in curbing the flow of runs.

The bowlers on both sides have to bowl the right channels in this game. That’s a task Josephine Nampeera of Ceylon and Jasmine Nabulya have to figure out on match day.

A win for Ceylon keeps their slim title hopes alive. As for tornado Bee, win on loose they stay as mid table citizens. Ceylon is the stronger team of the two. Best bet, they are the favorites to win this.

JACC vs Gayaza High CC

Gayaza High Cricket Oval

11:30am

For teams that heavily feature students, a loss for either side in this fixture would mean that one of them sits rock bottom of the table in the division.

Due to the ongoing National Exams, the majority of players who are sitting their final exams will in all likelihood be excused by their coaches and as such, the possibility of weakened teams participating remains highly likely.

Both sides will however play their hearts out all in the name of security the second to last spot on the table. Finishing last is not a desired action either team look to explore.

Gayaza comes into the fixture with the home ground advantage. Ruth Kwikiriza and Joy Nakanjako will have the confidence to bat bearing in mind that they are on home turf. Zam Bakali and Ketra shall be entrusted with holding the batting Innings while Nasha Ramathan shall take bowling department as her sole role in the Sunday fixture.
