Soroti Challengers did extend their unbeaten run over the weekend when they beat Premier CC at the Kings College Budo Oval.
The Challengers won the toss and took the bat knowing a big score is what they need to oust any challenge from Premier. Perhaps 115 was not what they had in mind when they were bundled out by the Premier bowlers in just under 29 overs. Maria Mwesigye (3/25 in 6 overs) and Sharon Nakidde (3/26 in 5 overs) made sure the scoring rate was kept at bay and nothing unchasable became the result.
Despite the brilliant bowling and fielding antics of Premier, Soroti still manged to walk all over their opposition with the superior bowling prowess. Kevin Awuro (4/16 in 3 overs), and Edith Achimo (2/2 in 5 overs) were the architects of the Premier downfall.
Maria Mwesige (6) and Charity Nyokaru (6) managed to stick their ground and lasted the longest on the crease. Unfortunately, their efforts proved futile as the Soroti bowlers managed to have them all out for 37 runs in under 14 overs.

The grudge match between the Bees and the Lions did not happen as the ground was deemed unfit for play. Due to the heavy downpour early morning, the playing surface was far beyond redeemable.
