Uganda's Tour of Qatar and India - Feb 6-23, 2018
Day One Round Up
The Cricket Cranes are well in Doha, Qatar. The men's national cricket side arrived in Doha via Kigali at 1am in the wee-hours of the morning and checked into the City Center Rontana Hotel.
A Qatar Cricket Association delegation led by Gul Mohammad Khan Jadoon received the team and exchanged pleasantries with Team Uganda manager Jackson Kavuma.
Checking-in was a smooth transition and everyone was up and done with breakfast by 10am in the morning where the team got an emotional reunion with England-based batsman Lloyd Patternot.
Team set off for training at 11.30am, hit the ground running at midday at the scenic Asian Town Cricket Stadium, 30 minutes drive from the hotel.
Training was a mix of shaking off the jet flag and a net-session in the middle which lasted three hours.
Captains and managers press conference was held at 6pm and forthwith followed the tournament/tour briefing meeting between match officials, team officials and captains at the Hotel.
