The final cricket cranes squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B has been named with no major surprises apart from the exclusion of top-order batsman Hamu Kayondo.  Top-order batsman Hamu Kayondo misses out on the tour due to a broken thumb he suffered when he was struck on the by a vicious delivery from Richard Ngarava in Zimbabwe.

Only Shahzad Kamal who was not part of the Zimbabwe tour is included in the side and his inclusion should add more runs to the middle order with the remaining 13 players all having been part of the build-up tour in Zimbabwe.

Richard Agamire's hard work has been repaid with a place in the side and he will battle for the open bowling slot with Bilal Hassun to partner the experienced Charles Waiswa. Dinesh Nakrani and Riazat Ali Shah are the all-rounders on the side with the run-scoring burden to shouldered by former Captain Roger Mukasa, Ronak Patel, Arnold Otwani, Kenneth Waiswa, and Captain Brian Masaba.  Fred Achelam who missed out on the Oman tour last year has been slotted into the side as the second keeper of the side while Frank Nsubuga and Henry Ssenyondo are the spinners in the squad.

Eleven of the 14 selected players were part of the uneventful tour of Oman last year and they will be seeking redemption in the desert. Uganda will be aiming to finish among the top four sides at the tournament to have a chance of finishing among the top four sides to have a chance to gaining promotion to the next round of the qualifiers.
