2: 00 P.M: FINALS: WINNER SEMI FINAL (1) Vs WINNER SEMI FINAL (2)

VENUE: BUDO ASTRA

The Curtain will come down on the most prestigious schools competition and even though the final will be played in Budo for the 1st time it doesn’t take away the feeling of winning the bragging rights.

Record winners Busoga College Mwiri face a stiff semifinal facing off with defending champions Jinja SSS and if they are to get their 17th crown they will need to be at their best.

Mwiri has not sparkled like a championship winning team losing to St John’s in the group stages and largely being unconvincing in the other games, they only showed their true character in the must win game against Kololo SSS.

Their opponents have looked untroubled in a very easy group winning all their six group games with a hefty 200 plus score against Ndejje SSS. Simon Oketcho has scored a ton so far in the tournament and he will be one of the key players. Together with on form Cosmas Kyewuta Jinja SSS are still favorites to defend their title.

Emmanuel Isaneez and his Mwiri boys will have to work so hard to stop Habib Mugalula's Jinja SSS but this being a derby from Jinja form counts for nothing. Both sides have some good power players who can launch the ball on the small Budo oval. Jinja SSS will rely on all rounder Cosmas Kyewuta, Obuya Robinson and the on form Simon Oketcho, on the other hand Mwiri will need Trevor Bukenya, Opio Ronald and Perry Wazombe to stand up and do well.

This game is the final before the real final with two sides that know each other well face off for a place in the final.

In the other semifinal St John's will face familiar enemy Mukono Parents, both sides qualified from the central region but are very different in style of play. St John's is your typical one man team and even though Zephaniah Arinaitwe is yet to sparkle he can dangerous anytime he gets a chance to bat.

Mukono plans on the other hand are a very young side looking at what lies ahead for them, they were lucky to come through an easy group and a semi final place is a good return for a side that is clearly preparing for the future.

Unless St John's self destructs they should be able to deal with Mukono Parents and wait for the winner between Mwiri and Jinja SSS.
