Kutchi Tigers vs Patidar – Entebbe Cricket Oval (Morning Game)
Kutchi Tigers CC continued their unbeaten run in Group D with another dominant performance.
Batting first, Avnish Vekariya’s composed 59 off 41 balls anchored the innings as the Tigers posted 136/8. Rain shortened the chase, with Patidar CC handed a revised target of 66 in 9.3 overs under the D/L method.
The Kutchi bowling trio of Ghanshyam Ashani, Nitin Jeshani, and Dhansuk Jesani dismantled the Patidar top order early, reducing them to 34/4.
With sharp fielding and controlled bowling, Kutchi Tigers sealed a 31-run win via D/L and maintained their flawless start to the tournament.

In the rain-affected afternoon fixture, Kutchi Tigers showed depth and resilience once again. Despite losing Avnish Vekariya on the first ball, Nitin Jeshani responded with a counter-attacking 55 off 27 balls.
Dhansuk Jesani chipped in with a steady 26 as Kutchi reached 122/7 in a 17-over innings. Patidar CC, chasing a revised target of 90 in 11 overs, stumbled early and never recovered. The Tigers’ bowlers kept the pressure high and fielders backed them up, restricting Patidar to 61/5 to complete a 28-run victory via D/L and a double over their Group D rivals.
Ceylon Lions vs Mukono Development – Florida Oval (Morning Game)
Ceylon Lions CC claimed their first win of the tournament in commanding fashion. After being put in to bat, Charles Musemeza struck a superb 81 off 53 balls, while Hamu Kayondo added 45 to propel the Lions to 187/6 in their 20 overs.
Mukono Development’s chase was derailed early, and despite a valiant 53 from captain Fahad Mutagana, they could only manage 111/9.
Ruwan Jayaratne led the bowling charge with a four-wicket haul, helping Ceylon Lions secure a convincing 76-run win and their first points in Group D.

Rain arrived before the toss and refused to leave.
The afternoon fixture was abandoned without a ball bowled, and both teams shared points.
Avengers vs JACC – Jinja SS Oval (Morning Game)
Avengers CC delivered a disciplined performance to see off JACC in their Group D morning clash. After an early wicket, Yashashvi Joshi (46 off 35) and Christopher Kidega (31) rebuilt steadily.
A flurry of extras from JACC’s bowlers boosted the Avengers’ total to 139/7.
In reply, JACC collapsed to 3/4 within minutes. Oyaga Sadam’s unbeaten 38 provided some resistance, but Joshi (3/15) and the bowling unit maintained control throughout to secure a 35-run victory.
Avengers vs JACC – Jinja SS Oval (Afternoon Game)
In a rain-shortened 5-over clash, Avengers CC proved clinical once again.
Pius Oloka smashed 37* off 17 balls, supported by Abraiz Mir Ali’s 14*, lifting Avengers to 66/2. JACC never got going in their chase, stifled by early wickets and disciplined bowling.
Yashashvi Joshi (2/10) and Nasta Girish (1/9) led the charge as JACC limped to 29/5, handing Avengers a 37-run win and a dominant double on the day.
Rounders vs Kutchi Tigers B – GM Sugar Oval (Morning Game)
Rounders CC announced themselves in Group B with a solid performance in a weather-affected fixture.
Led by Steven Wabwose’s aggressive 44 and Brian Masaba’s unbeaten 57, Rounders posted 169/4. Rain revised Kutchi Tigers B’s target to 137 in 17 overs. Though Navin Pindoria countered with a quick 34, Rounders held their nerve, with Collins Okwalinga playing a key role with the ball. The Tigers B side fell short as Rounders sealed a 17-run win via D/L.

The afternoon clash turned into a rain-affected 10-over shootout. Rounders posted 71/4 thanks to Brian Masaba’s quick 29 and Jonathan Nyiiro’s composed finish.
In reply, Kutchi Tigers B lost wickets in clusters.
Zubair Tembo and Steven Wabwose kept the pressure on with incisive bowling.
Bhavesh Hirani’s efforts weren’t enough as the Tigers fell to 63/9, handing Rounders an 8-run victory and a clean sweep of the day.
Premier vs Tornado – Serenity Cricket Oval (Morning Game)
Premier CC and Tornado CC faced off in a Group C morning contest that swung back and forth. Premier, despite a brisk 17 from Devansh Patel, stuttered through the middle overs and finished on 102/7 from 17 overs.
Tornado’s bowlers, especially Trevor Arikiriza and Ryan Tendo, kept things tight. In response, Tornado lost early wickets but Oburu Patrick’s composed 24* and a key partnership with Odong Richard guided them to the target in 13.1 overs for a 5-wicket win.
Premier vs Tornado – Serenity Cricket Oval (Afternoon Game)
In what was shaping up to be another close contest, Premier CC were bowled out for 97 in 18.4 overs, with Simon Oketcho (3/13) and Ryan Tendo (3/14) doing the damage.
But before Tornado could begin their chase, rain swept in and halted play. With the match abandoned in the first innings, both sides were forced to settle for shared points.
Conclusion:
Day Three of the Uganda T20 League was as much about weather as it was about cricket. Kutchi Tigers remained untouchable in Group D with another perfect double.
Ceylon Lions finally roared with their first win, while Avengers CC looked dominant with back-to-back victories.
Rounders CC made a strong Group B statement with a clinical double over Kutchi Tigers B, while Tornado continued their winning momentum despite the afternoon rainout.
Rain played spoilsport in several fixtures, with three afternoon matches affected or abandoned. With group stage points tightening and the margin for error shrinking, the race to the knockout rounds is heating up—rain or shine.
