Today, September 2, 2023, ends the Skyview Boys' School Cricket Week, 2023 edition that was held in Jinja city from 26 August 2023 with 16 secondary schools across the country participating. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from all the teams, with players displaying excellent sportsmanship and skills throughout the week. Jinja SS emerged champions in the finals that took place at Jinja SS as it faced it off with Nyakasura SS. It was a thrilling match that kept the spectators yearning for more until the very end. The victorious Jinja SS had an impressive total of 118 runs, while Nyakasura school had 101, giving Jinja SS a win
with 16 runs.

As Skyview and sponsors of this tournament, we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to sponsor this boys' cricket week. We thank the organizers Uganda Cricket Association, the participating schools and host schools, coaches and the teams for making this tournament a success. It gives us pleasure to see young people showcase their skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork on the field. We believe that supporting youth sports programs is not just a matter of giving back to the community, but also investing in the future of our society.


Mr. Hassan Ssegujja, Regional Manager, Eastern Uganda for Hariss International Limited said that the tournament was a major milestone for the game of cricket in Uganda as it provided an opportunity for young cricketers to showcase their abilities and develop their talent. The successful completion of the Skyview Boys Cricket Week is evidence of the dedication and hard work of all the participants, organizers, and sponsors, who made it possible.

The Skyview Boys Cricket Week has certainly contributed to the growth of cricket in Uganda secondary schools because the participating schools were
selected across the country and these include: Kololo SSS, Ndejje SSS, Dehli Public School, St John's Kauga, St John's Mukono, Busoga College Mwiri, Jinja SSS, Good Heart, Lords Meade, Kiira College Mwiri, Masaka SSS, Ntare School, Nyakasura School, Kilembe SSS, St Joseph's Layibi and Teso College Aloet.
