The Pepsi Schools Cricket Week is back again; the highly commended event will be played from the 8th to 13th August 2014; on the following grounds namely; Lugogo Cricket oval, Kyambogo Cricket Oval, Budo Astra and Budo Grass.
The 2014 edition of the Pepsi Schools Cricket Week Tournament shall be hosted at Makerere College School with a total of 12 confirmed Schools namely; Mukono Parents, Kololo SSS, Aga Khan High School, Kyambogo College, King’s College Budo (from Central region), Jinja SS, Busoga College Mwiri, Busoga High School, St James SSS (from the Eastern Region) and Nyakasura School, St Leo’s College Kyegobe (from the West) and Masaka SS from Masaka Region.
Mukono Parents the defending champions emerged Victors in the central qualifiers after beating Kololo SSS registering their 2nd successive regional trophy in the event, also in the Eastern region Jinja SSS the 2013 Schools week runners up brought down Busoga College Mwiri in the finals.
Several Schools’ in the past have contested fairly in the Championship though this time round Mukono Parents, Jinja SS, Kololo SSS, Busoga College Mwiri and Nyakasura School are probable champions for the tournament.
We are looking forward to hosting a fruitful tournament as we get closer to the kick off date.
