Aziz Damani CC Vs Pioneer CC
Entebbe Cricket Oval
Aziz Damani and Pioneer will lock horns at the lakeside oval for the first time this season and both teams currently have a win each.
Pioneer Cricket Club registered a resounding 100 run win in their opening fixture against KICC just days ago and will look to capitalize on that win to propel them forward. Barbara Mukankusi and Leona Babirye who confortably engineered the KICC demise with a powerful batting partnership of over 120 runs will lead the batting line for Pioneer.
Captain Barbara further stressed that “To survive in women’s cricket, you need all rounders. Its why we are maintaining the services of Daisy Wairamu who bowled and batted well for us against KICC in our first game.”
Aziz Damani on the other hand are looking to improve on their shaky start to the season with a scrappy win against Olila at the Jinja oval. All rounders Immaculate Nakisuyi and Getrude Candiru are expected to be the anchors that shall support the teams play style on the tricky wicket of Entebbe. Jeniffer Nabwama will have to bat with extra caution on the wicket if she wants to score a milestone.
Aziz Damani captain Gertrude Candiru was quoted saying “Top flight is where every game is to be played like it’s the final. You play a team once. No time to relax else you risk relegation.”
Jinja SSS VS Olila Cricket Club
Jinja Cricket Oval
Action resumes from across the Nile in Jinja as Olila Cricket club take on Jinja SSS. Last season’s title contenders are looking forward to grabbing maximum points tomorrow as they play the Jinja based side. Action is to be expected throughout the day.
Olila, the match favourites are using all resources in their arsenal. The batting shall be commanded by Esther Illokur, Damalie Busingye, Racheal Ntono and all rounder Janet Mbabazi. The bowling on the other side awaits the skill of Janet Mbabazi and Joyce Mary Apio. This is going to be a great game to watch.
Tornado Bees CC vs Premier Cricket club.
Ndejje Cricket Oval
The lady Bees this weekend take on the challenge posed by a youthful student packed Premier Cricket Club at the Ndejje Cricket Oval.
The Bees are looking forward to extending their point gap further away from Gayaza High Cricket Club who sit at the bottom of the table. Premier on the other side are looking forward to bridging the gap between them and Tornado Bees. A win for either side gives them great relief towards the season’s progress. Both sides are eager to have a go at the fixture.
Gayaza High CC VS Ceylon Cricket club
Gayaza High School Cricket Oval
Gayaza High Cricket Club have not had the best of runs in the league with many games being forfeit, and thus sit bottom of the table. They take on Ceylon Lions at the newly laid turf wicket within the school premises.
Sheila Nalwooza shall have the batting track home advantage over Ceylon’s Esther kayaga and Patricia Nandera. That said, it’s not going to be a walk through the park as the Lions match into the game with every bit of intention of winning. Eunice Kobusingye will play a great role in limiting Gayaza High to a small score.
Gayaza Cricket club is banking on the service of Ashley Nakiwala and Damalie Kayondo to mitigate the threat posed by the Lions. Ceylon are looking for this win so as to keep in the second place of the table. Each win they gather keeps them away from Tornado Bees.
