Africa CC vs Mukono Development – Florida Oval (Morning Game)
After a long absence from the 50-overs league, Africa CC made a return—but Mukono Development gave them a brutal welcome.

Mukono blazed to 192/6 in 20 overs, with Fahad Mutagana’s explosive 49 and Kenneth Ogenrwot’s unbeaten 40 leading the charge. Ashraf Lugya fought back with 3 wickets, but it wasn’t enough.

In reply, Africa CC crumbled under relentless bowling. Steven Othieno’s fiery 5-for tore through the lineup.

No batsman reached double figures, and they folded for just 37 in 19.4 overs.

A 155-run defeat marked a nightmarish comeback—one that Africa CC will want to forget, fast.

Africa CC vs Mukono Development – Florida Oval (Afternoon Game)


In the afternoon clash, Africa CC faced Mukono Development once again, hoping to redeem themselves—but the story repeated.

Mukono stumbled early but rallied to 149 all out, powered by Abubakar Tigatola’s 34 and 52 extras gifted by a wayward Africa CC bowling attack. Hajuguju Andrew claimed 3 wickets, but Ashraf Lugya’s expensive 4 overs cost 51 runs.
Chasing 150, Africa CC collapsed yet again. Only Arafat Lule (23 off 12) showed resistance, while Steven Othieno ripped through the order with a second five-wicket haul of the day. Bowled out for 69 in 16.1 overs, they fell by 80 runs.

Jinja SS vs JACC – Jinja SS Oval (Morning Game)
JACC outclassed Jinja SS CC with a disciplined all-round performance, sealing a 63-run victory.

Batting first, JACC posted 144/8, despite no standout individual score.

Abhay Patel (29) and Paul Mulongo (25) provided stability, but it was the 40 extras—31 wides—that inflated the total.

Jinja’s bowlers, particularly Huzaifa Adam (2/29), bowled well but leaked too many extras.


In reply, Jinja SS CC never got going. Wickets fell early, and the scoring dried up.

Only Enock Muwanguzi (30*) resisted. JACC’s bowlers, led by Aloysius Odoi (2/13) and captain Sadam Oyaga (1/13), squeezed the life out of the chase.

In the afternoon, JACC dominated Jinja SS CC, winning by 100 runs in a one-sided clash.

Batting first, Richard Sohera starred with a powerful 71 off 47 balls, smashing 8 fours and 3 sixes.

Support came from Paul Mulongo (23) and Sadam Oyaga (28), helping JACC post a strong 188/4 in 20 overs, boosted by 25 extras.


Chasing 189, Jinja SS CC never recovered.

Early wickets fell to Patel Abhay and Richard Sohera’s tight bowling, restricting the visitors to just 88/4 in 19.5 overs.

Aloysius Odoi’s economical spell added pressure, sealing a comprehensive victory for JACC.

Aboojo vs Rounders – Entebbe Cricket Oval (Morning Game)


Rounders CC set a modest target of 120/7 in 20 overs.

Top scorers included Hassan Bagaga (27), Jonathan Nyiiro (25), and Calvin Watuwa (18), with extras contributing 21 runs (18 wides).

Dan Keith Amani was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for 27 runs.


Aboojo CC comfortably chased the target, scoring 124/3 in 16.2 overs.

Brian Asaba starred with a blazing 65 off 42 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Mathew Musinguzi supported well with 33 not out.

The chase was wrapped up early thanks to solid batting and extras of 7.

Rounders' bowlers struggled to contain Aboojo, with Jonathan Nyiiro conceding 24 runs in just 2 overs, while Cyrus Kunsa and Narinder Singh took one wicket each.

Rounders CC scored 166/5 in their 20 overs.

Steven Wabwose starred with a brilliant 62 off 40 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes), Calvin Watuwa scored a quick 31 off 20 balls hitting 6 fours, and Jonathan Nyiiro contributed 35 off 34. Extras were notable with 21 runs (including 16 wides).


Aboojo CC were bowled out for just 62 runs in 15.4 overs, falling short by 104 runs.

Ivan Thawithemwira top-scored with 18 off 8 balls, and Amos Ahura made 8 before being stumped by Steven W.

Steven Wabwose was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs, supported by Calvin Watuwa and Zubair Tembo who also took wickets.

Rounders secured a massive 104-run victory.

Budo CC vs SKLPS – Florida Oval (Morning Game)
SKLPS CC posted a competitive 129/8, fueled by Varsani’s fiery 36 runs. KC Budo CC chased fiercely, wobbling at 73/7.

But Ali Balidawa’s unbeaten 40 off 20 balls turned tides, steering KC Budo to victory by 2 wickets with just two balls left.

The crowd celebrated a nail-biting contest of grit and glory, showcasing the passion and spirit of Ugandan cricket.

In the afternoon, SKLPS CC posted 130 in a gritty innings, led by Varsani’s 34. KC Budo CC, chasing 131, stumbled early—1/1 in the first over.

But Robert Owili blazed through, smashing 69 off 38 balls, silencing the fielders with sixes and sweeps.

Wickets tumbled around him, yet Rashid Mukasa held firm.

At 121/8, tension gripped the field. Then, with just seven balls left, a crisp boundary sealed the deal.

KC Budo CC triumphed by two wickets in a thriller—a battle of nerves and brilliance.

Avengers CC vs Tornado CC – Serenity Oval (Morning Game)


Tornado CC chased 188 but the Avengers CC attack was ruthless.

Simon Peter Oketcho gave Tornado hope with a brisk 14, but wickets fell steadily.

Conrad Lubwama fought hard with 26, and Sharma Mukaya's 21 brought flickers of life.

Yet Atul Rana's fiery spell (4 wickets) and Ali Mehdi's sharp bowling (3 wickets) ripped through the middle and lower order.

From 58/1, Tornado collapsed to 108 all out in 15.5 overs.

Avengers CC’s clinical dominance secured a 79-run victory.

Avengers CC vs Tornado CC – Serenity Oval (Afternoon Game)
In the afternoon, Avengers CC set the tone early, posting a fiery 144/6 in 16 overs.

Oloka Pius dazzled with 37, while Abraiz Mir Ali added 33.

Tornado CC responded with intent — skipper Simon Peter Oketcho hammered 45, but wickets at crucial moments stalled the chase.

 

Nasta Girish’s twin strikes and Yashashvi Joshi’s key breakthroughs kept the pressure tight.

Lawrence Ssempijja’s unbeaten 32 brought Tornado close, but Avengers’ bowlers held their nerve.

With 10 needed off the final ball, it was too late. Avengers CC edged a thrilling contest by 9 runs.

Nile vs Kutchi Tigers B – Jinja SS Oval (Morning Game)
Kutchi Tigers B struggled to find rhythm, collapsing to 84/8 in 16 overs. Robert Ajuna’s tight 2/14 and Jimson Wankona’s double strikes left their batting in tatters.

In reply, Nile CC faced an early wobble — Paresh Patel’s triple blow and Divya Valani’s double strike had them reeling at 84/7.

But Agum Samuel and Bamuturaki Loykeen held their nerve, scraping past the target in 15 overs.

It wasn’t pretty, but Nile CC’s gritty chase sealed a nervy 3-wicket win.

Nile vs Kutchi Tigers B – Jinja SS Oval (Afternoon Game)
In the afternoon, Nile CC rode on a breathtaking 129* from Ronald Lutaaya to post 168/9, rescuing the innings after early stumbles.

Kutchi Tigers B bowled with discipline, but Lutaaya’s fireworks proved decisive.

In response, Mayur Hirani anchored the chase with a patient 63, supported by Deepesh and Navin.

Despite wickets in hand, the Tigers couldn't accelerate enough in the final overs.

Sulaiman Mwebaze’s twin strikes and tight spells from Robert Ajuna and Ronald Lutaya tightened the screws.

The Tigers finished on 157/4, falling short by 11 runs. Nile CC walked away with a hard-fought win.

Premier vs SKLPS – GM Sugar Oval (Morning Game)
Premier CC held their nerve to defend a modest 121/6, securing a 19-run win over Ismaili Community CC.

Devansh Patel anchored the innings with a gritty 41, while Ghulam Hunzai’s 3-wicket burst restricted further damage.

In response, Ismaili lost early wickets, slumping to 29/4.

Despite Ghulam’s fighting 28, the chase never gained momentum.

Premier’s bowlers, especially Yug Haria (3/20) and Dinani Farid (2/25), applied relentless pressure.

Yasir Malik’s economical spell (1/7 in 4 overs) choked the middle overs. Ismaili ended at 102/8.

Premier vs SKLPS – GM Sugar Oval (Afternoon Game)


In the afternoon showdown, Ismaili Community CC roared back with a commanding 68-run victory over Premier CC, avenging their earlier loss.

Shehzad Khan's explosive 49 and Junaid Khan's brisk 35 powered Ismaili to 163/5.

Premier's chase crumbled under pressure, folding for just 95 in 17.1 overs.

Mujeeb Sultan (2/17) and Ghulam Hunzai (3/10) ripped through the batting order, while two run-outs further derailed the chase.

Only Numan Mohammad (26) and Mahir Sajid (19) offered resistance.

Ismaili’s bowling unit delivered discipline and fire, turning the tables emphatically and keeping their campaign alive in the Uganda T20 League.

Conclusion:


Matchday One of the Uganda T20 League delivered a spectacle of explosive performances and crushing defeats.

Africa CC endured a brutal return, suffering two heavy losses at the hands of Mukono Development, thanks to back-to-back five-fors from the fiery Steven Othieno.
